After trying on his new IMPACT shoulder pads Erod and the North Bergen Bruins traveled to Palisades Park for a 7-on-7 competition. The NB guys won easily, with Erod and David Portes sharing the QB duties. Erod has bulked up to a powerful 6'3" 235 and is seriously pushing the NB staff to allow him to take snaps at OLB and DE for the upcoming season. He'll also be taking over half of his offensive snaps at RB this season as the QB-sharing with Portes is supposed to continue through the season.
Erod continues to await his results from the ACT test, which upon a successful score, his recruiting will surely heat-up to a fever pitch. A recent report says Penn State is getting impatient awaiting word on his status, but the Pitt Panthers have jumped to the lead in the recruiting process due to the relentless pursuit of Pitt recruiter David Walker. Erod is making plans for an unofficial Pitt campus visit in late summer.
