2 More Wins...Big Game Draws Near

On Friday, October 13, Erod and the Bruins took it to previously unbeaten Emerson High School 44-25. In that game, Erod had a 31-yard TD pass to Eric Selgado, and two 1-yard TD plunges. He rushed for 136 yards overall while completing 8 of 10 passes for 150 yards in the air.

Today in West New York, NJ, the Bruins blanked Memorial High School 42-0 with Erod playing just over one half. He was 6 for 9 for 112 yards through the air and 2 TD passes, including one to good friend Kevin Rodriguez, Krod's 1st career TD catch!

After another game next week vs. an inferior opponent (Dickinson High School), the Bruins will welcome Hudson Catholic High School to Bruins Stadium on the night of November 3rd. With the State Playoffs shortly following that game, a win would be huge in securing the best possible position within the North I Group IV bracket, which hopefully includes a home State Playoff game. In three seasons of High School football, Erod has lost all three games he's played in (2003: at Hackensack 46-3; 2004: at Morristown 27-6; and 2005: vs. Vernon at home, 31-14) and the team has been outscored in those games 104-23, with Erod scoring all three TDs.

It's time to change his football legacy at NBHS.
