Temple University certainly rolled out the burgundy carpet for ERod, his mother and brother over the weekend. From the opening meal at Mitten Hall, to the campus tour (including the amazing Tech Center and Student Union), to the fabulous dorm and Liacourous Center (hoops) - to the state-of-the-art Lincoln Financial Field (home game stadium) - it was all impressive.
The tough sell is trying to convince parents that the section of North Philly housing the campus is a safe enough environment for their sons. The recent addition of a nearby movie/store complex was marred by an opening weekend shooting.
The staff is young, energetic, and accomplished in their own right. And coaches Al Golden and Mark D'Onofrio went out of their way to make ERod feel as though he is a very-much needed addition to the 2007 Owls.
