Lincoln Roars to Final

Last night the #4 North Bergen Bruins had a chance to pull away from the #2 Lincoln Lions early in the contest when Lincoln's Farod Robinson sat most of the first quarter with foul trouble. However, by halftime the Bruins trailed 41-40. It was an ominous sign of things to come.

When ERod collected his third foul, to go along with Noel Allen's third, the interior defense of the Bruins softened and the Lions of Lincoln roared through the lane. Still, with just 2:41 remaining in the game, the Bruins held a slim 67-65 lead at Lincoln.

And then the wheels fell off...the Lions went on a 13-2 run to close out the HCIAA Coviello Division Semifinals and unseat the Bruins as League Champions. Lincoln will now move on the St. Peter's College this Saturday night to play for that vacated crown.

Despite some foul trouble, ERod contributed 12 points, hustled all night long, and added a vicious 4th quarter slam. But for the 2006-07 North Bergen Bruins (now 15-6), it was not enough.
