It's been one full week of practce for ERod at West Virginia and his name has yet to be mentioned by Coach Rich Rodriguez or any media outlet. This new territory for a player that is use to media attention with any team he has been involved with. Currently, ERod wears the blue #27 in practice, and other than seeing his name listed on the team roster at a few online websites, there are no pictures or articles to learn how he is progressing.
He reports that on his first day of practice he got no repetitions at the BANDIT position, followed by two days that included four reps each day. On the third day (Aug. 7) he recorded his first practice INT and a tackle. He reported playing on the third string in the team's scimmage last night (Aug. 11). He has a long way to go, much to learn, and many to impress.
But he is involved, he is excited, and he is making slow progress. There's a huge learning curve involved with breaking into a Division I football program ranked in the Top 5 nationally. He'll need to be patient.
Meanwhile...we all await the first photos of him from WVU.
