A Night of Senior Celebration and Reflection

ERod reflects on his 3-year Temple Owl career
On December 11, 2011 in Center City Philadelphia's DoubleTree Hotel the winningest 4-year class of Temple Owls football players were feted for their accomplishment with a special Senior Dinner. This group of 19 men have accumulated 30 wins over their time on North Broad Street with a very good chance to make it 31 after the New Mexico Bowl.

To put their winning into perspective, Temple Athletic Director Bill Bradshaw told the assembled dinner crowd it had taken FOURTEEN years for the Temple Owls to collect the 30 wins prior to this 30. Remarkable.

Positional coaches and even Head Coach Steve Adazzio introduced each player with a few words about their academic progress and football successes during their time at Temple. Following short speeches by each of the 18 players (CB Kee-Ayre Griffin was not in attendance) the team showed a 15-minute highlight video featuring each of the Seniors.

As a parting gift, each of the Seniors was presented with his final regular season Cherry and White jersey, complete with the image of a TU football helmet and the cherry "T" school logo. Also affixed to the bottom was a small plaque featuring the player's name and the years he had played for the Owls.

It was a special evening for a special group of young men. Their Temple careers will end following their appearance in the New Mexico Bowl vs. the Wyoming Cowboys on December 17, 2011 in Albuquerque, NM.
