As the countdown to SIGNING DAY approaches, ERod has been busy with his basketball season. It is his final year on the hardwood in HS, and, most likely, in his career. After a semi-slump of games before his Official Visit to West Virginia, he has come on strong with his game.
At Union Hill HS the Bruins would fall 75-69, but not without a 12 point, 15 rebound effort from ERod. Then it was another tough loss at the buzzer at St. Peter's Prep 68-66, despite a season high 24 points from the Big Man. And this past Wednesday night, against tough League rival Memorial High School, at home in front of a raucous crowd, he posted another 16 points and was all over the floor with defensive zone hustle.
And now we're just 10 days from the day he will sign his Letter of Intent to attend West Virginia. While basketball has his mind pre-occupied with the League title chase, deep down he is starting to prepare mentally for what lies ahead a few states away, which might as well be another World.
When the basketball season is completed he will concentrate only on school and physical preparation for the years that lie ahead.
But, meantime, there's some unfinished Hoop Dreams he needs to chase.
