In a remarkable turn of personal events in just one year's time - ERod will be named the North Jersey Athlete of the Year on Tuesday, June 26th at North Bergen High School. The award was confirmed today by a reliable source with the Hudson Reporter, headquarted in Hoboken, NJ. ERod will become the first Bruin in school history to win the award.
As a four-year starter with the North Bergen Bruins, ERod completed an 8-2 Senior season and earned a full football scholarship to West Virginia University in February 2007. He was named Hudson County Defensive Player of the Year a second consecutive year by the Hudson County Coaches Association in December 2006.
ERod will accept the award in front of teachers, family and friends at North Bergen High School at 12:30 next Tuesday.
