Although he had no involvement in the winning of the game, ERod's Mountaineers bounced back from a devastating December to start the New Year off right, crushing the HEAVILY favored Sooners of Oklahoma 48-28. The win gives them three consecutive Bowl game victories, the 2008 Fiesta Bowl, 2007 Gator Bowl (38-35 over Georgia Tech) and 2006 Sugar Bowl (38-35 over Georgia).
And now, once he returns for the Spring semester, it is time to prepare for the Spring Game in April where he will have a true chance to battle for playing time. It is undetermined who will be the new West Virginia head coach but an announcement is expected any day now.
