On a chilly November Thursday night the Mountaineers got their revenge from a lost in Louisville in 2006, scoring a late TD to hold off the charging Cardinals 38-31. The 'Eers definitely did not earn any "style points" in their bid to move up in the BCS Standings with this squeaker but a win is a win.
WVU moves to 8-1 and have a trip to Cincinnati to make next weekend (Nov. 17). A victory against the improved Bearcats would have the Mountaineers 9-1 heading into their two final home games vs. current Big East Conference leader UConn and the Backyard Brawl vs. Pittsburgh.
