Pounding the Knights, And Turning Heads


Heading into North Jersey in need of a win, the Mountaineers blew away the hometown Scarlet Knights 31-1 last Saturday to continue their 13-game winning streak over Rutgers and secure second place in the Big East Conference standings with a 7-1 record. ERod made his first return home since leaving for WVU in early August. Following the game the AP and USA Today polls ranked WVU #7.

Two days after the game and for a second time this season, ERod was named a Scout Team "champion," this time as Defensive Player of the week for the Rutgers game (he won the Special Teams player award for the Marshall game). Read WVU's press release:
