UConn never saw it coming..first ERod makes his first EVER appearance on Mountaineer Field in uniform for warm-ups, and then Pat White and Company shred the Huskies for a 66-21 victory and Big East Championship!
The game needs no recap, it was a blowout the moment WVU received the ball after a UConn opening drive TD made it 7-0 bad guys. From there on out is was a total annihilation of the co-leader of the Big East.
With the Conference title and a gaudy 10-1 record, WVU was named the #2 team in the BCS and AP poll, and #1 in the USA Today poll!
The BCS National Championship game will be played January 7, 2008 in New Orleans and with a win in their season finale vs. PITT (4-7), the Mountaineers will be one-half of that game's marquee!
