WVU falls into "trap"

These type games are called "trap games" - a "gimme" game where the expected outcome is not even questioned. The Mountaineers were favored by 28 points and yet found a way to blow a sure win at home to the 4-7 Pitt Panthers by a 13-9 score. There will never be a way to take any positive from this game - ERod's shot at a first National Championship game has evaporated in the throes of a humiliating flop to an arch rival. The only positive he could take is, he didn't play in the game. Now, who knows what bowl they'll go to, but it WONT be to the Sugar Bowl and it wont be for the National Championship.

A golden opportunity is lost. And NO ONE would have ever predicted such a monumental collapse just one week after scoring 66 points on the way to a Big East Championship.

Congrats to the Pitt Panthers, in a dismal season they have scored a memorable upset.

And, as they often say, it's why they play the games.
