This past Thursday ERod met with Coach Stewart concerning next season and was asked by Coach if he had any interest in trying his hand at the FB or TE positions. According to ERod, he quickly declined stating he preferred to concentrate on earning a starting Safety spot in Spring drills. He is working out as hard as ever and he reports Coach Stewart mentioned he felt ERod can become a Freshman All-American IF he can get his school work done and abides by team rules.
Speaking of which - Coach Stew released three players for the team based on their possession of pot arrests last week. The players remain on scholarship until an outcome of the case. However, if found guilty, the three would lose their scholarships and, more than likely, their place at WVU as students as well. What a terrible mistake these young men have made - with the world in the palm of their hands!
Hopefully a lesson is learned by the rest of the young men on the team.
TIDBITS: Most online chatters state that April 19th will be the day of the Spring Game...we all can't wait to see #27 roaming the d-backfield against Mr. Pat White and company!
